| Home Before Dark Over 50 but still feel 20? We were the children and teenagers of the 50's and 60's, and are now revered by youngsters as having been the first really trendy kids, and now the first trendy grandparents. They loved our attitude, what we wore, and particularly the music we enjoyed. "Home before dark" is a lunchtime social circle for people "over a certain age", married or single, who still enjoy listening to or playing the great music of the 50's and 60's. If you like to get out and about, but prefer not to burn the candle at both ends, we meet at the moment, on wednesdays between 12 noon and 2pm at Barwell Sports Bar (The Barn), Kirkby Road, Barwell. Buses to Barwell are frequent from Nuneaton, Coventry, Leicester, and Coalville. Alternatively, there is good car parking. Entry is free, and light lunches are available. Plans are in place to find interesting venues that are easily accessible (on good bus routes) so that there is plenty of time to get there, enjoy a couple of hours reliving your youth, and get home before dark! Interested? Click on diary and check Home Before Dark entries. If you play a musical instrument, bring it along, and we will make music. For further details see contact details at bottom of page. |
