On the 19 May 2004 my wife, son and myself with several other members of TEGAS and their wives congregated at the De Montfort Hall to pay homage to, THE Greatest ever guitar instrumental group.
From their first appearance on stage, to the end of the night, it was one long experience of some of the best popular guitar music you could ask for. What made it so special was the fact this was 'The Shadows' - well at least three of them - Brian Bennett drums, Bruce welsh rhythm guitar and Hank Marvin on Lead Guitar. Then there was what you might call the part time Shadows - almost as well known and also very good musicians - Mark Griffith on Base Guitar and Cliff Hall making a brilliant job of keyboards. This line up, is five musicians who can, quite literally, bring the house down.
